One of the mosque’s most striking features is its minaret, which rises to nearly 91.5 meters, becoming a defining element of Muscat’s skyline.


Stunning Interior Features Among the mosque's remarkable attributes is its extraordinary prayer carpet. Hand-woven by over 600 female weavers from Iran, this magnificent carpet covers more than 4,343 square meters and took about four years to complete, weighing approximately 21 tonnes. It is recognized as one of the largest single-piece carpets in the world.


Equally breathtaking is the chandelier that graces the center of the main prayer hall's dome. This colossal piece measures 14 meters tall and 8 meters in diameter, adorned with 600,000 Swarovski crystals. Crafted by the esteemed Italian company Faustig, the chandelier serves as a captivating focal point within the mosque.

The exterior is clad in Indian sandstone, complemented by intricate mosaic work that enhances the overall aesthetic.
